Rock, Doris, Audrey, Humphrey, Gregory and Bing!

At the risk of making my nerdy, geeky self even more nerdy and geeky, I really love old movies.  A few nights ago The Hubs and I watched the 1947 classic The Ghost and Mrs. Muir.  A black and white favorite of ours - don't let the image below fool you this isn't even in technicolor!

Another favorite is the 1954, White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney (yes, George Clooney's Aunt!).  Technicolor, musical AND Christmas? Yes, please!

And who doesn't love the 1959 classic Pillow Talk with Rock Hudson and Doris Day.  Heck, any movie with Rock or Doris is for me!

And Audrey.  Oh, let's not forget Audrey.  Roman Holiday (1953) with Gregory Peck

and Sabrina (1954) with Humphrey Bogart!  These old romance movies really do it for me.

Not that I don't love today's movies, or even 80s movies.  I adore everything from  The Breakfast Club (1985)..

to the new Narnia series...

but there's just something about those old movies.  What's your favorite?

Seriously.. Thoughts?
